  Wiretec uses their exclusive S-4 mag wire conductor which delivers the maximum available energy to the spark plug while eliminating RFI and EMI problems that some other low resistance wires cause.

  8mm pure self extinguishing silicone jacket which protects the conductor to  500° F.  Stainless steel snap-lock terminals to ensure positive termination and resist corrosion from humidity & salt spray.   Most other Original Equipment and Aftermarket wire sets use zinc plated terminals - a real problem around salt water or high humidity conditions.

  The MagstarŽ conductor illustrated in the chart was developed by Wiretec especially for use in the marine environment. We realized that a very hot spark was necessary in order to allow an engine to idle smoothly and to prevent misfires due to carbon build-up when maximum throttle was applied under heavy load (the drag of the boat). We also knew that we needed to suppress RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) to avoid problems with onboard electronics. These two critical factors work against each other, as the spark gets more intense, more RFI is generated.

  Wiretec developed S-Four - our exclusive stainless steel static suppression conductor. This unique product delivers five times more energy to the spark plug than original equipment suppression wire.
