Wiretec Synopsis

Wiretec functioned as a Division of Madison Wire & Cable until March of 1999.  This relationship gave Wiretec experience in not only the engineering of wire sets, but also the manufacturing of conductors and the extrusion of ignition wire which would prove valuable in future acquisitions.  Wiretec presently specializes in the engineering, assembly and distribution of ignition wire sets as well as operating as a manufacturing company extruding bulk ignition wire and producing ignition wire conductors.  Some aspects of Wiretec’s current operations and capabilities are as follows: 

1)      The Wiretec Division of Madison Wire & Cable was operated by Brian Moore as General Manager until March of 1999 when it was purchased by Moore and David Dirkse, formerly the Owner / CEO of BLD Products, an international supplier of fuel system management components.  Early in 2003 Wiretec acquired the machinery and equipment of the former Madison Wire & Cable. After four months of upgrading equipment and forging new supplier relationships, Wiretec began extruding wire and building conductor in June of 2003.   Moore functions as President and CEO while Dirkse is Board Chairman and is actively involved in acquisitions related to Wiretec’s corporate goals.  Wiretec is the only privately owned ignition wire extruder in the World. 

2)      Wiretec currently builds ignition wire sets and leads for the Automotive and Marine Aftermarket under the Magstar brand name as well as private label for many OE and Aftermarket manufacturers.   Wiretec also manufactures bulk ignition wire and conductor for distribution worldwide. 

3)      Wiretec is located in Apopka, a suburb of Orlando, Florida, and is housed in a 44,000 square foot building.   With three wire extruders, Wiretec can produce 150 million feet of bulk ignition cable per year in constructions from 3 mm to 11 mm.   

4)     Wiretec’s corporate goal is to provide the finest automotive and marine products, OE and Aftermarket, to enable their customers to successfully compete on price and quality in the Global marketplace.
